KIND HEARTS
KindHearts is conducting a campaign to support needy students with the infrastructure for online education.
During these difficult times of the epidemic, classrooms have gone online or are broadcasted on TV. But, poor students without access to mobiles, internet and laptops or desktops are the worst hit.
KindHearts was contacted by 3 schools in and around Thiruvananthapuram, with such needs. The following are the schools.
- St. George School, Palode
- Ponmudi UP School
- Government Tribal High School, Idinjar.
Some students in these schools do not have facilities for online education at home. Most of them are orphans (parents are either deceased or abandoned) who are looked after by their relatives or grandparents.
We are planning to support 15 needy students in these school, by providing them Televisions to attend classes broadcasted on Victers channel.
We are exploring partnerships with companies or their CSR wings, who are willing to contribute to this initiative - either financially or by donating used TV / tablets / Monitors or personal computers.
