KIND HEARTS
Kind Hearts team visited a Tribal school which is situated in Kottoor forest area, 12 Kms from Kottoor Town on 02 Oct, 2015. The primary aim of this school is to educate the kids in the nearby tribal settlements, up to their lower primary studies. It is very difficult for the students to reach the schools in the town through the long wild jungle route, at this age.
Our govt has developed this plan by the name ‘Ekadhyapaka Vidyalayam’ (Only one teacher). Mr Sudarshan, a 59 yr old brave heart, is incharge of this task in this area. We spent some time with him, while he shared his experience with us about running this school. He reaches the school on foot to teach these little kids, daily. He also shared some important concerns which this school is lacking from others. The students of this school don’t have uniforms, proper study materials and washroom facilities.
We have initiated some plans for supporting these kids for overcoming these difficulties. To start with, we have distributed some study materials to them.
The twinkle in their eyes was a great encouragement for us to support them even more. We wish to develop them academically so as to make them the role models for the next generation. We are planning to extend our present activities in supporting these kids, for which we need your valuable support and suggestions.
