We’re raising funds to donate 2 computers to S.N.V U.P School, Pulimath, helping 150 students gain better access to digital learning. Every contribution, big or small, can make a meaningful difference in creating opportunities for young minds to learn, explore, and grow.
In the quiet village of Pulimath, near Kilimanoor in Thiruvananthapuram district, hundreds of children come to school every day with hopes, dreams, and a desire to learn. At S.N.V. U.P.S. Pulimath, an aided upper primary school serving students from Grades 5 to 7, education continues despite limited resources and infrastructure. The school has been nurturing young learners for decades and plays an important role in the local community.
Today, the school faces a challenge that many schools encounter: limited access to computers. With around 150 students depending on the school for their education, opportunities to learn essential digital skills are scarce. In a world where technology is becoming a basic requirement for education and employment, this gap can have a lasting impact on a child’s future.
The initiative is backed by a formal request from the Headmistress of S.N.V. U.P.S. Pulimath, who highlighted the school’s need for additional computers to improve digital learning opportunities for its students. The school’s leadership believes that access to technology will help bridge educational gaps and better prepare children for a future where digital skills are increasingly essential.
That is why Kind Hearts has launched a fundraising initiative to donate two computers to the school’s computer lab. While two computers may seem like a small contribution, for many students it could be their first opportunity to explore digital learning, develop computer literacy, and gain confidence using technology.
Pulimath is a vibrant village surrounded by greenery and close-knit communities, located in the Kilimanoor region of Kerala. Like many villages across India, its schools are working hard to provide quality education while adapting to a rapidly changing digital world.
